Cody Ray {2 months old}

Hello.....
What do you know? It's been a few days {or maybe weeks?} since I have last updated! I thought I was going to be so much better at this, this time around! Life is just so busy. That's not an excuse though! We have been super busy here at the Mallaire household. Mama here went back to work and I have quit the bittersweet taste in my mouth about that...but I swallowed the bitter of the situation and am putting one foot in front of the other each day. Can I just say that working mama's of multiple children are superheroes! Actually ALL moms are, but man it's a whole new freakin' ballgame to be mom to two AND go to work each day. Neither job is really harder than the other, please don't get me wrong. I was home for 10 weeks and I got SO backed up on laundry, cleaning, cooking, just about everything! Being a mom is just hard. PERIOD.  It's the best things in the world, but let's be honest it can be really tough....anyways. In the midst of all the craziness, without my permission, my sweet baby turned 2 months old! I swear I just had him! When I did Luke's updates on my old blog I felt like I would ramble on and on, so I am adapting a version that I saw on this blog. {if you aren't reading it, you should be!}
I have tons of other updates and things I want to share, but before Cody gets any older, I wanted to document this.....

 Cody Ray~ 2/9/14

Weight/Length: 15lbs 7oz! and 25 inches long! Basically he is huge! And I absolutely LOVE it!! He's very proportional, and is growing right on track, so I am a happy mama! He's bigger than his brother was, and Luke is estimated to be really tall', so we shall see about baby brother :)

Hair: He has very little amounts of brown hair. He was born with pretty dark hair, but most of it has fallen out!

Diapers: Size 2

Clothing: very few 3 months, but mostly 3-6 month, and even some 6-9 months....luckily he has a big brother and we already have all of these sizes ready to wear!

Favorite Things: Mama's milk, Sophie the Giraffe

Likes: Eating, Sleeping, Being held, Smiling, Baths....ya know, baby things :)

Dislikes: long car rides in his car seat.

Milestones: He rolled over from his belly to his back on Valentines Day....it may have been just a coincident, but he did it! he hasn't done it since but has been really close, he is really starting to focus on things and makes great eye contact! He is also smiling like crazy!

Sleeping: He still sleeps quit a bit during the day. He takes a longer nap in the morning from around 10am-12pm, and then little naps in between and then another longer one from around 3pm-6pm, then I put him down for the night around 9:30p. He is till waking almost every 3 hours in the night as well....so I feel like our sleeping patterns are still kinda crazy and unpredictable!

I feel like he has changed so much in the past month! He is no longer an infant, he is definitely a baby now!

Cody,
My sweet boy. I was so concerned when I was pregnant with you that I would never be able to love someone as much as I love your brother. I was scared. The moment you were born, everything changed. I didn't even have to think about it. I loved you so much it hurt. I now had two boys to love and my heart felt like it could explode. It still does! The love I have for you is unexplainable. You are such a sweet baby and I am so blessed to be your mama. I love watching you grow and am SO looking forward to the months and years ahead with you, my boy.

I love you forever,
Mama

Weekend recap and looks I'm loving on Pinterest

Well as you probably know, the Broncos lost the big game!! :( Oh well, I still love me some Payton Manning! I think he is a really neat guy and respect him a lot! He is an amazing quarterback and hopefully Denver can have another chance next year! How can you be too sad when you have an adorable, chubby little Bronco fan like this...:)

Anyways.....

~This past weekend I did "Hot" yoga for the first time! I have always wanted to take a yoga class, so Nick bought me a package of 10 classes at a new yoga studio near our house. I was terrified to go to my first class, but on Sunday morning me and my mother-in-law and sister-in-law went and we {well I guess I can only speak for myself} LOVED it!! It was definitely not easy, and I couldn't do everything that the teacher was doing, but our goal was to at least just stay in the room for the entire 1 hour and 15 minutes, and I did and it felt great! This was the first real workout I have done besides walking and a little Pilates video{which I will blog about another day because you NEED to do these videos too}. I have never been so sweaty in my life! But it felt amazing!! I am so excited for my next class! {and I'll spare you a picture, nobody wants to see what this mama looked like after that :)}

~Luke and I did some baking this weekend! We made some yummy brownie chocolate chip cookie bites! He loves to help me in the kitchen and it's a fun memory to have with my sweet boy! oh and they were pretty delicious! {and easy, since I am not opposed to using boxed mix and pre-cut cookie dough :)} {honesty is the best policy right?}

~I love love love pinterest! Duh! Who doesn't? So I thought I would share some of the looks I'm loving on Pinterest right now...
